Explore the Results

The system module ensures transparency and efficiency in documentation by compiling all calculation results for the entire drive train into a single, comprehensive report.

The 3D viewer immediately visualizes geometric effects and supports collision checks with imported CAD data. The system can also be displayed in its deformed state, allowing direct assessment of how bearings, shafts, or housing deformations contribute to gear meshing misalignment, thus enabling early optimization.

Relevant data such as safety factors and lifetimes are clearly summarized in tables.

In addition, 2D plots and diagrams are generated to provide an overview of specific results for all model components, including gears, bearings, and shafts.

REXS

The REXS interface supports standardized, neutral data exchange, which is essential for experts working with software from different companies.

REXS (Reusable Engineering Exchange Standard), defined by the FVA, is a neutral format for gearbox data exchange between non-compatible software.

3D Graphics

The 3D graphics function provides system architects with a visual insights into the designed gearbox, supporting design space checks and effective communication. Whether the topology is defined in the Sketcher or in the tree structure, a three-dimensional representation is generated, immediately illustrating the geometric effects of every parameter change.

The function supports housing data import from CAD systems to perform a complete collision check. In addition, the 3D view can be used to visualize dynamic states and deformations.

Reports

The reporting functionality in the system module compiles all gearbox or drive train documentation into a single, comprehensive report. This significantly simplifies documentation requirements and ensures that system architects and experts can centrally access all relevant information derived from individual component submodule calculations.

Reports are generated at system level and subsystem level for each component calculation. The reports can be used for internal documentation, customer presentations or certification preparation.

2D Graphics

The 2D graphics function in the system module enable experts to precisely display complex, analytical results and dynamic relationships across speed ranges. While 3D graphics visualize geometry, 2D plots provide detailed evaluation of strength, vibration and deformation data through diagrams and curves.

These graphical presentations are often crucial for root cause analysis of NVH issues or for identifying critical operating points resulting from the interaction of speeds and frequencies.

Tables

Tabular data output provides engineers with a structured overview of all relevant component and calculation results. Data is summarized in sortable tables at system or component level, improving data processing efficiency.

The tables contain information about components properties, their relations such as the shaft on which a bearing is located, and the resulting strength or lifetime values.

Scripting

The integrated programming language SKRIPT is a powerful feature allowing engineers, even without deep programming knowledge, to customize the system module and automate complex workflows. SKRIPT provides direct access to KISSsoft calculation parameters and functions, significantly improving efficiency in repetitive tasks.

SKRIPT supports both direct command execution and automated scripts linked to specific events in the KISSsoft workflow such as events before calculation or after loading a file.
