Maps Feature for Efficiency Analysis and More

Jun 29, 2026

Understanding system behavior across a wide range of operating conditions is now easier than ever with KISSsoft® Release 2026. The new “Maps“ feature introduces a flexible calculation approach that systematically varies input parameters, typically torque and rotational speed, to generate comprehensive, map-based results.

At its core, Maps function enables efficiency analysis through visual efficiency maps, giving engineers a clear overview of system performance under different loads. Beyond efficiency, it supports system calculations with constant or variable inputs, as well as load spectrum generation through cross-over load or parameter variations with limiting values.

Results can be explored through multiple graphical formats, including 3D surface maps, 2D color maps, and line plots. This makes it easy to identify optimization opportunities and compare different operating conditions.

Whether you're evaluating performance, comparing system designs, or running sensitivity analyses, the Maps feature provides the structured, visual insights your engineering workflow needs.

KISSsoft at Dritev 2026

Once again, industry experts will gather in Baden-Baden, Germany, on June 30 and July 1 to exchange insights on the latest developments, innovations, and future perspectives of various concepts in the fields of drivetrains and transmissions for vehicles. Discover advanced KISSsoft System Module functions and explore new features of KISSsoft Release 2026 at this year’s Dritev. We look forward to meeting you in Baden-Baden in person.
