Bevel and Hypoid Gears
This special training covers the theory, calculation and optimization for bevel and hypoid gears added with practical exercises.
The training will take place in Live Stream Sessions on 4 consecutive days as follows:
For participants in Europe:
September 6, 2021: CET 2 pm - 6 pm (Brussels)
September 7, 2021: CET 2 pm - 6 pm (Brussels)
September 8, 2021: CET 2 pm - 6 pm (Brussels)
September 9, 2021: CET 2 pm - 6 pm (Brussels)
Also suited for participants in parts of Americas:
September 6, 2021: EST 8 am - 12 pm (New York)
September 7, 2021: EST 8 am - 12 pm (New York)
September 8, 2021: EST 8 am - 12 pm (New York)
September 9, 2021: EST 8 am - 12 pm (New York)
The target group are engineers who are familiar with KISSsoft and work with bevel gears in design and manufacturing.
During the training, several conventional cutting methods are shown which are used for straight, helical and spiral bevel gears. The geometry for bevel gears is defined and calculated according to ISO 23509, and the specialties of hypoid gears are shown. Further, the topics strength, sizing, analysis and optimization are explained for bevel and hypoid gears. Using the contact analysis, contact pattern and stresses are calculated and optimized, as well as EPG displacements determined and applied.
