The main objective of this advanced training is to learn about various design optimization strategies for cylindrical gears in KISSsoft®. Participants will be equipped with advanced knowledge on gear design optimization after this class in order to use the KISSsoft sizing functions efficiently during the design process.

The training is aimed at engineers who have prior knowledge and experience with cylindrical gears and KISSsoft software, and/or have attended the KISSsoft advanced training part 1 and 2 on cylindrical gear geometry and strength.

Date and Time
The training takes place in 2 consecutive Live Stream sessions.

For participants in Europe:
April 29, 2024: CEST 2:30 pm - 6:00 pm (Brussels)
April 30, 2024: CEST 2:30 pm - 6:00 pm (Brussels)

For participants in parts of the Americas
April 29, 2024: EDT 8:30 am - 12:00 pm (New York)
April 30, 2024: EDT 8:30 am - 12:00 pm (New York)

Topics

The training covers the design optimization strategies, rough and fine sizing of macro and micro geometry to find an optimal, well-balanced solution for various criteria such as strength, efficiency, weight, and noise. It also provides the sizing functions considering load spectrum and manufacturing errors.

Notebook

You will need a notebook to actively participate in the training. It is advantageous to have 2 screens, but this is not a prerequisite.

Registration deadline: April 23, 2024

The registration for this training is done via the website. Please select the training by placing it into the Cart. From there fill out all required information and submit your registration.

Before the start of the training, participants will receive an actual test version Release 2024, training documentation and an invitation link to join the Live Stream training.

Completion

Upon successful completion of the course, a certificate is issued.
