Rainflow-Simulation
Process-dependent load spectra are often used for strength assessment of gears. Measured data as time series are then to be converted into a load spectrum. If the time series contain no load reversal, the "Simple Count" method can beused.
Alternating torques occur in vehicles, for example, the influence of which is taken into account with the mean stress influence factor. This factor has to be determined for each element of the load spectrum. For this purpose the "Rainflow" method is used and combined with ISO 6336 for the determination of the mean stress influece.
